A New York Escorts Confessions
Day of the Dead
It’s tragic. Around 20,000 people died last weekend in Pakistan. Whether we’re talking about the 100,000 people who died in the tsunami or the 3,000 who died on 9-11, it’s just terrible when so many die in a disaster. I couldn’t help but cry when I read the news.
It’d be even more tragic if Osama bin Laden pulled a Pat Robertson by broadcasting throughout the Muslim world that God struck down the unfaithful in Pakistan for aiding the infidels in their assualt on Islam. Whether Billy Graham’s son calls Islam a “a very wicked and evil religion” or a mullah incites young boys to jihad from his dusty little mosque, religious intolerance is truly evil. Nothing good can come of it.
It’s most tragic, though, that we’d be partly at fault if more people died in a future attack here. After we’ve invaded Iraq on a lie and propped up corrupt dictatorships throughout the Middle East for so long in the name of protecting our oil, who can blame others for not taking our message of democracy seriously over there? How can we advocate keeping religion out of the government when our own president spurns science in favor of religion in teaching creationism in our schools?
God, now I’ve fucking made myself depressed…

Wait, those were indigents who died in the tsunami? I thought they were people either living there or visiting.
Posted by Michel on Oct 11 11:00AMWait! The Govenment lied to me? Oh man, What next that guy who reached into my pants on the bus wasn't really a doctor?
Posted by Will on Oct 11 01:48PMThis has been the worst year ever. Forst a 150000 thanks to the Tsunami, then the hurricane in New Orleans and now this Earthquake that has now Killed 80000 people, So I guess if there is really a good he/she is preety upset with all of us . Cause we are fighting and killing on his/her name.Maybe tragedy will unite us
Posted by CyberTourist on Oct 11 04:02PM"3000 rich investment bankers"? I'm surprised at you Alexa. You know thats not fair. Death is death and it sucks when innocent people get killed, rich or poor, in southeast asia, in guatemala or here. Why would you marginalize one event like that? I ran for my life when the planes hit and I'm certainly not rich or an investment banker.
Posted by jason on Oct 11 10:32PMJason, I didn't mean to marginalize the people who died in the WTC - someone I know died in the north tower. It upsets me, though, how the media marginalizes deaths abroad even when far more people die.
All deaths are equally horrible, whether they are of Americans or of Asians - rich or poor. I think I may have gone overboard, though, in my post. As such, I am changing it now.
Posted by alexa on Oct 11 10:52PMFair enough. Glad you didn't mean it the way it sounded. Sorry to yell at you the first time I comment.. Long time fan, first time caller. ;)
stick to talking about the norm...
We are at fault if someone else attacks us b/c we invaded a country based on a lie.....
Do you forget when our gov't said (just after 9/11) that we would come after terrorists whereever they are...and we would come after countries that housed and aided known terrorists (like Iraq, Iran, so forth)....I know the media conveniently forgets that but pls, let us tell both sides to the story here...that is all I ask!
Posted by James on Oct 12 11:12AMjames, you're just like those other brainwashed conservatives.
the government said that we'd go after terrorists wherever they are. so we invaded afghanistan, which was good. (of course, we didn't catch osama even though we could have. but i won't harp on our gov't ineptitude.)
there has never been any connection, however, between iraq and 9-11. while saddam is an evil man, there is no connection between osama and iraq. or at least there wasn't any connection before our invasion.
since we entered iraq, thousands of people have died due to bombings there. more importantly, iraq has become a breeding ground for terrorists since al qaeda entered iraq amidst all the chaos there.
i'd say that bush has made our world less safe rather than more safe by invading iraq.
Posted by danny on Oct 12 11:33AMi see...so conservatives are brainwashed while liberals must be what...all knowing, always right, what is it....pls tell me...I think they just like complaining until they get in office, then we will get to hear all the excuses from the left side of the aisle and all the complaining will come from the right...its just a vicious cycle, don't make one side out to be better than the other....yes i am a republican but we are all americans and the problem is that the left and right refuse to get along...
that said...you don't need to find a connection between Iraq and 9/11....9/11 was not the only terrorist act against this country, just the most notorious! Do you forget the bombing of the WTC in '93...it may not have worked as planned (thankfully) but its intent was no different than 9/11....just poorly executed, how about the bombing of US embassies in Tanzinia and Kenya in 98, or the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000...I would like to point out that these acts were carried out under CLinton's administration and did we ever do anything to stop them from happening again, NO!! We allowed them another chance to get it right, and look what happened. I didn't see this type of reaction then, but now with a republican in office, its all his fault??? Gimme a break...its no one person's fault.
Let me also say this, after 9/11, CNN/Gallup released a poll as to how many americans thought and feared another attack would happen on US soil during Bush's term (since you know, it was Bush's fault) and more than 60% thought it would happen....so now we are in his second term, and there has not been an attack on our soil since...so maybe, just maybe...its a good thing that we have established our presence over there, unless of course you think that there would be no attack here if we had no presence over there....which is just plain stupid.
All this said, let me finish by saying I quite enjoy hearing all this banter from a liberal's point of view...I miss that about living in New England...i am a political junkie, among other things, and I mean none of you any offense in my statements, just enjoy the rise it creates from the "other side"...Thanks!
Posted by James on Oct 12 02:14PMIt wasn't government ineptitude that led to Osama not being caught. The government Didn't Want Osama caught. Osama bin Laden is the figurehead, the scapegoat they've propped up as the cause of all their problems. Without him as a target, the general American populace would have likely returned to apathy. Now Bush can use Osama's wide wide influence to justify all the invasions he wants!
Now that I've got that out of the way - Good post Alexa. Unfortunately people here have a sad tendency to use economics as a standard of measuring the base value of a human life. "I'm worth more economically, ergo I'm worth more as a human". People are people, and it's sad to see the death resulting from catastrophe, wherever it is.

about me
So why am I writing this blog? I have an inner exhibitionist that just needs to be let out. I've always wanted to bare myself completely in front of strangers but have always been held back by fear.
As strange as it may sound, I've never really truly bared myself in front of any of my clients. For all that they've seen, they've never seen me be me. And for all that I've seen, I simply need to share it with you!
So why should you come? To be tantalized and teased. To get release by knowing the true me.
I promise that I won't bite, and if I do bite, I'll make sure you like it!
