A New York Escorts Confessions
Clarifications
Based on comments to some of my previous posts, some readers appear to believe that I am a prostitute. Let me set the record straight…
I am not a prostitute. None of the other escorts I know are prostitutes. Trading sex for money is illegal and asking for sex is the fastest way to get on my do not answer list.
So what do men (and in rare cases women) pay me for? They pay me solely for companionship. Whether attending a showing of The Producers, sipping a glass of Bordeaux at Jean Georges, or simply cuddling while watching a movie in his hotel room, I provide exquisite companionship. When with a client, I make him feel special — he’s the sun around which my world revolves for the hour or two that we’re together.
Some enjoy my scintillating and sometimes titillating conversation. Most (I suspect) simply enjoy having a sexy young woman serve them. Some (I know) enjoy showing me off. Accompanying an overworked banker or lawyer to an office party, I’m the perfect trophy date. Too hot to be in his league. Yet too smart to be just a bimbo for hire.
So why do my clients pay me so much? Well, you’ll just have to ask one of them…

Oh please, you've said before that you offer hourly sessions! No one is looking for a good hour long chat. Kid yourself however you want, but generally, you're getting paid for sex.
Posted by Allie on Mar 14 04:00PMtechnically, she can't say that, but you don't make that kind of money by hanging out and "cuddling" lol
Posted by shamp on Mar 14 04:01PMI can only assume that this statement is for legal reasons, some sort of crackdown is maybe occurring over this kind of thing. But, if you truly believe this, and I say this with no moral judgment, as I don't believe in morality, you are totally delusional, its like when some guy on eBay sells concert tickets at face value, bundled with a bic pen for an extra $300, I think its quite clear.
Posted by PM on Mar 14 04:12PMWhether or not you engage in sex is irrelavent to myself. All that matters is the writing and the stories. Keep 'em coming, please. ;)
Posted by Dating in Miami on Mar 14 04:14PMsay what you want, you are a whore, albeit a high paid one. you really can't sugarcoat it that much. when you first started this blog, the whole purpose was to flaunt what you do and are. go back and read your early post. i am not condemning you for it, you can lead your life however you wish, but realize that eventually when your looks deteriorate, you WILL end up on the streets.
Posted by pete on Mar 14 04:23PMUm...what? You've told of a client requesting (and you seriously considering) a bestiality session, you've told of being semi-raped by an early client, and you've made it pretty abundantly clear that you do, in fact, have sex with your clients.
Posted by Sarah on Mar 14 04:29PMA lot of the commenters have a good point. In many of the stories you write, you talk about having sex with your clients. Are you saying that sometimes you have absolutely no sex with your clients? None at all?
It's like the difference between a world-renowed French chef at a 5 star restaurant and a fry cook at a local diner. Yes, the French chef is more educated in the culinary arts and works at a more upscale restaurant, catering to more affluent customers, but the bottom line is that both the French chef and the fry cook do the exact same thing- they cook food for other people.
Regardless, I don't care what you consider yourself. I may not condone what you do for a living, but it's your life and I can't judge you or tell you what to do. I just come to your blog to read your interesting stories. :)
Posted by Toni on Mar 14 04:44PMI'm sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with everyone else here. I'm not judging you or thinking less of you for it, but whether you choose to call yourself an escort, or a call girl or a lady of the night or a special little friend, the fact of the matter is that you are prostituting yourself.
Posted by Chelsea on Mar 14 05:25PMPete wrote, "i am not condemning you for it, you can lead your life however you wish, but realize that eventually when your looks deteriorate, you WILL end up on the streets."
Pete, where's the love and understanding?
Sheesh, for someone not doing any condemning, you certainly prognosticate a gloomy future for Ms. Alexa. I have a hunch Ms. Alexa will do just fine. As evidenced by her writing, she is certainly bright and capable. And her extracurricular activities are not about to diminish her intellect nor her abilities. Who knows, Pete, you and I might end up reading one of her books or screenplays. You just never know.
As to what Alexa does or doesn't do, I really don't care. I just enjoy reading her writing.
Posted by Entropy on Mar 14 05:29PM"Forgive me father for i have sinned.."
The title line of your blog says it all. Like the rest i dont judge you for what you do but dont try to sell us bullshit. When was the last time "cuddling" was a sin?
Posted by Eyerate on Mar 14 05:49PMMy mom alway's told me "if you didn't have anything nice to say .....
But the irony is lovely. I'm not judging but (insert judgemental statement here).
Goodness gracious when did this become the "attack Alexa" post? Y'all need to simmer down, 'cause what she chooses to do is her business, and I personally admire you, Alexa for not being afraid to be honest about what you do.
Everyone else can shut up for all I care.
Have a great day!

What is wrong with your haters. If you find this blog so offensive, then why do you bother reading it. Get a life. There's a huge world out there. If you don't like what you see, move on.
Alexa, you're an excellent and please keep on sharing your stories with us.
Posted by David on Mar 14 07:50PMMost of the comments aren't "attacking Alexa" at all. I don't find this blog offensive at all. In fact, I come back and read it frequently because I think Alexa is insightful, well versed and witty. I enjoy reading her thoughts and I don't have a problem with what she does for a living. It is her body and I think that the laws against prostitution are ridiculous because it is a crime without victims. That being said, to me anyone that exchanges sex for money is prostituting.
Posted by Chelsea on Mar 14 08:22PMAlexa, tells it like it is, if you do not like it then why attack her, she has done you no harm.
but i'll be back and will contiue to enjoy her writings.
This is probably the second time I've been on this site and I've got to say there's a lot of haters out there. Don't judge who or what she does because truthfully half you people that came across this site were probably doing searches for sex on google. So I wouldn't say you're any better. But hey, I like reading about sex so I could care less what she does.......at least she tells it straight.
Posted by Jason on Mar 14 09:11PMAre you somehow concerned about being arrested? If so, it's probably best, unfortunately, if you close down the blog. This statement just doesn't mesh with your earlier statements here.
Posted by Anonymous on Mar 14 09:37PMpeople--get real!! she never said she didnt have sex with her clients! she said she doesnt GET PAID to have sex with them..THAT is illegal!! DUH--cant anyone read between the lines anymore? Havent you seen the disclaimer on most escort's sites: "payment is for TIME and COMPANIONSHIP only..ANYTHING ELSE that occurs is a result of PERSONAL CHOICE and is not as a result of having been paid"?? Meaning, "you are paying me for my time..once you get here and i decide that i really want you to fuck my brains out, then that will have had nothing to do with the payment"..it is all about CYA'ing..that is exactly what she was doing -COVERING HER ASS...
you idiots so quick to flame the one person who is the reason you keep coming back here, makes you look as if you have nothing else to do with yourselves..either you hate the bitch(i mean that lovingly, whereas obviously you do not), or you love the bitch and choose to read her blog..get off the damn toilet, wipe your pathetic little asses, and make up your tortured little minds...
Posted by HELLISH HARLOT on Mar 14 10:56PMIn addition to Alexa's (this) blog I regularly read Olympia's "Postmodern Courtesan". Reading these blogs has gotten me thinking about courtesans in the modern world and also in history. Beautiful, intelligent, sensual woman have alway been in demand. They are, in fact, one of the rewards of being powerful and wealthy. Courtesans offer more than (potential) sex. That's why they charge more. They have to be educated, well read, knowledgable and able to converse. They have to be good dinner conversation. Yes, there may be sex. But you don't pay these kind of rates just for sex. You pay for someone special. For people who are intelligent (something lacking in some of the above comments), sex is between the ears. It is dinner, conversation, sensuality and romance. This is what courtesans get paid for. And it is not easy work. When she is out on a "date", she's on all the time. She is providing the fantasy and the romance. The services provided by courtesans are just another kind of personal service. We think nothing of paying fees to corporate lawyers, doctors or chefs. Why do you all get on your high horses about the services courtesans or for that matter prostitutes, provide? You're just in the grip of empty Christian morality.
Sorry if this posted twice...
Bravo Case and well said...Was the "less than intelligent" remark was directed at me,albeit deservedly so,? lol...While
While I will admit I was quite exasperated, I would hate to think the crass manner in which my admonition was delivered, would tarnish what I was trying to convey...lol Had I been a trifle less agititated, I would have been able to impart my extreme displeasure at what I was perceiving to be utter disdain for something that apparently provides such fodder for their judgemental diatribes, and yet brings at least a very prevalent modicum of emtertainement or satisfaction to their otherwise lacking lives. Why else would they continue to read and yet feel the need to impart such judgement every chance that is "afforded them"?
Thanks for saying what I should have waited to say until I was less "annoyed"...
Posted by HELLISH HARLOT on Mar 14 11:33PMKeep rockin Alexa. So sad to see people who read the blog are not more open-minded about working as an escort.
Posted by Drizztdj on Mar 14 11:48PMI really enjoy your writing and I guess don't judge or worry about the details that are yours to manage. Please keep sharing.
Posted by Low Key on Mar 15 01:09AMTo the person making comments about how she will "end up on the streets,"
I love how it is assumed that, simply because of her occupation, she isn't putting money away for herself for the future. I don't know that she is, but I don't assume that she's not. With the type of money I'm assuming is being paid, there is definitely enough to live on and still put some away for "retirement."
More Power to Ya!! I wonder if I can get someone to pay me to "Cuddle"??
Anyone in Canada who is Cold and wants to pay me to "Cuddle"?
*Visions of Quitting my Day Job* WOOT!!!
You're an escort which means that not only I could pay for your company, but I could also expect sex if I put the price. The difference between a hooker and you is that you can't pay a hooker for company.
But dont fool yourself, you're still get paid for sex.
You had sex with customers, but would you have had sex with them for free ? I think not.
I still love your blog.
Posted by Gary Benolo on Mar 15 03:09AMFrom Dictionary.com:
pros·ti·tute
n.
One who solicits and accepts payment for sex acts.
es·cort
n.
A person, often a prostitute, who is hired to spend time with another as a companion.
The two aren't mutually exclusive. So it depends really on how you word it if you want to get technical. Prostitutes work for sex. Escorts provide company and can have sex if they so please. If the escort is a title or an excuse, then she would just be a prostitute. But as she has stated, she spends more time at social events with these individuals than she does at sexual ones. So the english language stands by her, whether you want to buy it or not. Too bad.
Alexa shouldn't worry about being arrested because of her blog being found out by cops. After all, there's tons of escort sites out there easily accessible by the public, with the girl's pictures and phone number on the site- yet these sites aren't being closed down nor does the girl get arrested.
Besides, I think the cops who spend their time online are busy catching real criminals such as pedophiles...and people who download off Kazaa ;)

Posted by Garrison Steelle on Mar 15 10:03AMLet's face it - if a client shows up and Alexa, having taken the money, says "Right, no sex, just conversation and cuddles only" she'd go out of business very quickly. Her clients might appreciate the accompanying benefits (intelligence, companionship, conversation) but sex is definitely part of the deal.
And that's precisely WHY I read this blog. There's no shortage of other sites about, well, other things. Call it what you like, I'm here for the well written, but dirty stories about a woman who's paid for sex.
Posted by Jay on Mar 15 10:18AMputting all moral judgements aside mind, I would say with your body and my brains we could make twice as much..
but commercial sex isnt easy to get started in unless you take to it like a duck to water. if you do you luckey and have a head start.and if you smart you will make your bank by thirty . and then what? well same thing anyone does at 60 or so except still young to ebjoy it. what "it" is I dont know since I am a sexual driven creature.my time is almost up. and i have seen better days but at least have my meager if useful security blanket.I dont know what it is i saying but i thought i would write to this sex blog but i was looking for something more titilatin , mmmmmmmmmmmm whats up doc?
WOW! There are some harsh comments here. She's not out killing people, mugging people, carjacking, etc... Nobody's getting hurt. Everyone's happy.
Alexa, you keep doing what makes you happy. You're a good person with a good heart. The world could use a few more people like you.
Posted by Weed on Mar 15 12:46PMReading this cracks me up. I have had guys say I was a 300lb fat man living in Nebraska, even tho I have shown 100’s and 100’s pictures of me, my home and friends, and even short video clips of me saying I love them and chatted/cam to some of them endlessly to let them know me. They want my phone number, well their not getting it, there is no need. But the thing on here that made me think this was Garrison Steelle comment that sounded more person to person then person to blog. One time after someone said I was a 300lb fat man, I said; “You know you might be right! But you’re the one saying you love me :) Now what does that say about you?”
I don’t necessarily think Alexa an escort or in any sex business at all, too many loop holes in the things she says, not particularly this post because she is right here, there are two sides of being an escort and she is only speaking of one side when commenting on this post. But the mistake was saying she wasn’t a prostitute. This is a blog, not an escort site, there is no disclaimers here. Because there not needed. She is not selling anything. So what does it matter what she says here? Last time I checked there had to be money exchanged to prosecute an escort or some sort of proof.
I would worry more about my blog being fraudulent and being busted open by someone. Wouldn’t that be more embarrassing to face the family to why you played escort to thousands of people in the world and why it meant more to you then anything?
I like Alexa because Alexa is a good person and is likeable and very kind, these are the qualities I like and these are the ones I will remember her for. Does Alexa deserve the way some of these people treat her? Well if Alexa isn’t what she says she is then Alexa is sitting back laughing at your asses and I’ll give her a hi5 for that, because making people look stupid is easy. Because if that is the case how can what any of you say bother her?? Because you’re just talking to a blog. There is no one home. No emotional ties to it. No one home but a blog keeper!
Lots of people won’t believe in God, for lack of proof in His existence. But then people will believe in a hell of a lot less just because they want to believe it is true and a little piece of them wants to become be part of it.
But whatever Alexa is doing in her blog, keep on doin it, it is fun!

Posted by Katiebird on Mar 15 02:34PMThe domain for this site was registered through a third party "Proxy" registrar in Scottsdale, AZ. Considering the line of work the author says she is in, it is possible that she would have taken the time and the money to be discrete about registering a domain name. However, if she is lying about who and what she is, proxy registration is a good way to cover her tracks.
Posted by ShroudedViper on Mar 15 02:54PMI'm with Katiebird. You don't need to defend yourself, Alexa. This is your personal blog, and you can chose to be a Suburban House-Wife, a Native-American Shaman, a Vietnamese Rock-Star, or (Heaven-forbid! :-P) a New York Escort. You can be whoever you are, and whoever you want to be - other people be damned! If some people would rather think of you as a prostitute, let them. You know the truth. I look forward to each and every future entry.

JLo is perfectly right - don´t defend yourself just enjoy yourself.

Posted by Dark Obsession on Mar 15 04:54PMI find the debate humorous. I believe Dante started serving the debate well with a few definitions.
Here's my two cents, and forgive me if I repeat any of the above:
The escort is paid for companionship. I would imagine that Alexa's clients appreciate her mind just as much as her good looks. At the dinner party or social event, I would imagine that they appreciate her intelligence even more.
Imagine the escort this way (and excuse me if I get this wrong): it is like going on the third date with a very intelligent and sexy woman who is extremely forgiving of your own faults. The sex is fringe.
I'm not sure one can say it is all about the sex. I can't imagine wanting to have sex with an unintelligent woman... it would do nothing for me. Sex is not the package, companionship is. Sex may only be the ribbon to the wrapping paper (her good looks) and the package (her mind and social graces).
Alexa's services are simply put, critical. It is very hard to meet attractive and intelligent women when you work 70 to 80 hours a week. There are times when you MUST have both an attractive and intelligent woman at your side.
Posted by Polonius on Mar 15 05:48PMWhat difference does it make? Who cares what kind of labels are used?
Let me be the first to thank you for what you do! Escorts provide a valuable service to society in general. Instead of name-calling and nitpicking they should be applauded.
Keep the posts coming please!
Posted by Doesnot Matter on Mar 15 06:04PMAll men pay for sex. Dinners, movies, gifts are all given with the expectation that they will eventually get sex in return.
I enjoy your blog emensly, keep up the good work.
Dear NYEC Readers:
I don't support or condone Alexa's lifestyle choices. As long as all of her activity is only with consenting adults of sound mind and she's not hurting anyone, herself included, who cares. I will say the whole 'you're a whore' mentality is quite annoying, morally elitist and just plain tired. Everyone pretty much whores themsevles out at some point, be it in a marriage, a job, a friendship, etc. Everyone trades parts of themselves for some type of gain, be it financial, social or career oriented.

Posted by bluezzzgirl on Mar 15 07:18PMI have to agree with Gary. There's nothing wrong with being a prostitute, but you're really splitting hairs when you say that you're not a prostitute. You do have sex with your clients--you've made that crystal clear. You would not have sex with them (or, at any rate, with most of them) if they weren't paying you. It's all well and good to say that they're paying you for companionship, but you have sex with them, and you wouldn't have sex with them if there weren't money involved. That falls under "prostitution" in my book.
That being said, why deny it? You have no reason to be ashamed of what you do--despite the stigma associated with the term "prostitute," it's a difficult job and one for which I have a great deal of respect. In fact, what I find so unnerving about this post is its departure from your usual candor and openness--instead of being proud of what you do, you're acting ashamed.
Either that, or there's some legal issue afoot. If that's the case, why keep up the blog?
Posted by Sarah on Mar 15 07:18PMAnd if you're going to try to claim that "it's not about the money" when you have sex with your clients, go back and look at the "Puppy Love" entries. In them, you consider doing a highly illegal sexual act, not as a consensual act, but because the client in question is offering a five-figure sum.
Posted by Sarah on Mar 15 07:21PMWow, I wish I had proof read my comment before I pushed 'post.' It's hard to sit on my high horse with grammatical errors.
:)
Posted by bluezzzgirl on Mar 15 07:23PMWhatever you need to tell yourself so you can sleep at night, dear Alexa. But if someone pays you to spend time with them, and in the course of your "companionship session" you have sex, guess what? That's called "prostitution". So you fuck for money - big deal! It shouldn't even be illegal in the first place.
But give your readers a little credit - you're not fooling anyone but yourself.
There is a reason that I don't allow comments on
any of the web sites I publish. The reason is
the comments like these. Man, if I were Alexa
I'd take my jacks and go home.
So many of the comments here are critical of
Alexa's profession. So many of them seem to have
missed any shading of meaning.
Why, might I ask, do you read this blog if you
are so critical of Alexa's profession?
Wintermute
Sorry, Alexa. Obviously, there's a price to pay for site traffic. Hang in there. Or, as "Gary Coleman" says in "Avenue Q," "Kids, you just keep doin' what you're doin'!"
Posted by Prospero on Mar 15 11:55PMWho gives a flying fuck what Alexa does?
I certainly don't. As far as I'm concerned, she's a good writer and until the unlikely day that I might avail myself of her services, that's all she does.
So anyone who has negative, holier-than-thou bullshit to spew about what she does and why she does it should write what they have to say down on paper. Then they should take their greasy little hands, crumple that bad boy up, roll it around into a nice tight ball, bend over and shove it straight up their asses.
Fucking puritans.
Posted by Lobo on Mar 16 12:49AMIt kills me that these people talk like they know anything about "the business" at all. I'm shocked you know so many people who have such extensive, first hand knowledge of the difference between escorts and prostitues. You're lucky you don't just have a bunch of jackasses that think they know what they're talking about just because they've seen HBO a few times.
Posted by Dante on Mar 16 02:24AMExcuse me, but I'm a little confused...
Here in Australia we certainly wouldn't make a big deal over whether someone's a 'Prostitute', whether practicing or technically so - we just don't care. What counts is whether the person is a good person or not.
I always figured America would be a progressive place as well, but maybe its the regressive Irish in you - anyways, leave all that prejudice behind and move on. Whether someone's a Prostitute or a Catholic or even a Fondue from India, their religion is their business. At least she's not a hooker.......
Gosh....I think those ppl who insist alexa's protituting herself isnt hating her or judging her at all...they were MERELY arguing abt the fact dat Alexa does get paid for sex and dat constitutes aa prostitution too.
I am a fan of Alexa and am not going to judge her. But I do agree dat She's prostituting herself too. She's in serious denial if she thinks and insists dat she isnt at all. Juz dat she sells more than her body. She sells her charms, intellect, wits, looks and companionship along side with her body to the man and hence the higher price dat the men pay for when they ask for her. A common prostitute who works in a brothel sells only her body and sex without the conversation and time. STRAIGHT FUCK!
We all adore Alexa for certain reasons and we keep coming back here becoz she keeps us entertained with her superb writing and then again who knoes alexa may juz be a 300kg man whoz very gd in writin. So as far as I'm concerned, I think the ppl defending Alexa is coming on too strongly now. No need to be dat defensive becoz I'm sure we all love alexa as much as u juz dat we r entitled to our views as well rite.
Posted by Gina on Mar 16 03:34AMWhat I'd like to know is- why are there so many of you playing private detective, trying to find out who Alexa really is? Why are you checking out her IP address and domain? Is it because you don't believe she says who she says and want to expose her? Or is it because you're hoping that if you manage to actually track her down, you'll pay her a visit in New York some day with a wad of bills in your hand hoping to buy her services?
She DOESN'T WANT TO BE FOUND, so leave her alone. Sheesh. Really- it's creepy. I'd be so creeped out if people on the internet were trying to find where I live and worked.
Posted by Toni on Mar 16 03:50AMI can't understand why people are making such a fuss about all this. Relax, guys.
It's just words on a screen, and Alexa writes nice words. Beyond that, we don't know anything, and people who make assumptions are fooling themselves.
Posted by Evil Pundit on Mar 16 04:00AMI have been reading your site recently, and I have to say, I love it. It doesn't matter what you do, I have even questioned the truth behind your "escort" status, but I read because I think you are an amazing writer. I hope you are laughing at all the negative responses. That is all they deserve.
Posted by Melissa on Mar 16 08:00AMProps to Gina and Mrs Jones. The issue ain't with what Alexa does, it's her definition of it. A rose is a rose by any other name and all that. Sex is part of bargain, even if it is a ultimately a choice. Let's be honest here, escorts choose to shag their clients, because that's what the client is after. I'd wager that if you ask the clients, most of them would want a refund if it was a STRICTLY platonic arrangment. They would certainly not be return customers in most cases. Companionship is great to be sure, but it's a side dish. You may love the potatoes, but it's the steak you're going for.
Disagreeing with Alexa's definition of her profession is NOT disagreeing with her profession.
Epilogue: All you toerags playing amateur detective, are more than a bit creepy and well out of order.
Posted by davey on Mar 16 12:04PMhere's the thing. people saying "sorry alexa, you're a prostitute" aren't being puritans or judgmental or anything else. people who think she is, in fact, a prostitute don't neccessarily look down on her for it, they just think she's full of it trying to sugarcoat her professional title. we all love you alexa, some of us just think you're a whore.
Posted by anonymous on Mar 16 12:14PMWho cares? Escort agencies are legal, as far as I know. Evidently, then, it's not prostitution, as this is a crime in this backwards country. If sex happens on these 'companionship' visits, well, that's what happens. It's not as thougb Alexa gives you details about all the people she meets now, does she? Do you people even have any idea how frequently her visits end up involving sex? Those of you making proclamations that "she has sex with some of these men therefore she is a prostitute" need to take a step back. I'm hardly a know-it-all on the escort business, and even I can tell the difference.
Posted by Adam on Mar 16 02:26PMWhy is it that everyone has to gang up on readers who state the obvious--that exchanging sex for money is prostitution? Alexa may not do that all of the time, but at least some of the time. So what? That's why we're reading this blog. But please spare us the hundredth version of the same reply.
I have to wonder what this clarification is supposed to be about, though. I doubt that legal reasons are involved. I also doubt that Alexa is kidding herself about what she's doing. Maybe there'll be a clarification of the clarification.
Posted by Anonymous on Mar 16 02:33PMSome of these comments, they disapprove, but they love reading about it, because in some part of them they want to do what you’re doing (or may be doing!)but they daren’t.
Why the sudden statement!! Something must have happened. I do hope it’s something good, and that you’re OK.
For myself love you and your blog, you come over as so warm and real. Love it cos so different from how I work and ‘Clarifications’ pinpoints the difference. The ‘paid companion’, high-class escort’ thing or ‘prostitute’. I’m the 2nd in the EXTREME.
Following only my instincts and conscience, I dress for me barefoot and free. I can’t eat, drink or go places with them. I only work in my room. When they enter my room, it’s like a temple. Their clothes show who they ‘are’. As they take off their clothes they take off the outer mundane world, and who they ‘are’ in it. In the temple everyone is equal.
I see clients only at their best, the high pure point of sex. They are all beautiful in sex. Nothing else of them touches me. My job is beautiful because sex is beautiful. To touch them naked, the way I do, I touch only the good in them, the good in all people. And that goodness healed me.
Now I can hear, the ‘normal’ world, the world outside the room, sounds more like ‘prostitution’ than the way I work.
I'm sorry but I think I am going to have to call you out here. Not sure what your intentions are, feeling heat from law enforcement maybe. I'm pretty sure it's not a case of self-denial. As an "overworked NY banker" I do have to say if anyone of my colleagues did bring a prostitute to a firm function he would immediately be called out. I simply don't believe you when you say you accompany bankers and lawyers as their “dates”. Not sure what movies you are watching but it's just ridiculous.
Trust me, if one of my colleagues brought a prostitute to a firm function he would be ridiculed and berated regularly. I don’t know of anyone in my firm or other firms for that matter who would put their reputations at risk by bringing a paid escort to a firm function. The embarrassment and risk of being caught far outweighs any self-gratification of having a "stand in" on their arm. I know you are probably thinking that no one would know by your appearance but trust me most of us are pretty intuitive and know when something seems fishy.
Maybe you write these passages because you are feeling older and not as attractive or maybe just trying to put yourself in a higher class of prostitutes. I simply think its all fiction.
That is the question of your income. if you have your own money - income - you can live on, than you are not a prostitute. But you need your companionships to pay your Verizon internet bills then you are a prostitute.
For instance, Paris Hilton is a whore but not a prostitute, because she can survive without "companionships". But you cannot. As simple as that.
BTW, I know wo u r ;-) And you are not the best in your occupation. But smarter than many others I have to admit:)
Posted by Craig on Mar 16 08:00PMCT - could this be why she ISN'T a prostitute? Is it so unfathomable that escorts are different than prostitutes? She doesn't walk the street, and her occupation is not sex. It's companionship. If she has sex, it is a CHOICE, not an OBLIGATION. Prostitutes can say no, but they better hope they make it to the car door first. Alexa can just walk away - and as she's said before, she has. Having sex and having to have sex are two different things, something that has gone WAAAAAAY over the heads of everyone in here. Just because a lot of escorts are ALSO prostitutes doesn't mean they all are. The link between companionship and sexual relations is tenuous at best. I can't see how so many people can assume that there's such a concrete bond here. It's like I've just seen over fifty people say, "But she's paid to be their friend. That means they have to fuck, right?" NO!
Posted by Dante on Mar 16 08:16PMI had this discusion with Alexa a while ago, so here is my two cents.

You really need to calm down. You seem to have an affection for the caps lock key huh? I joke. Did not mean to stir a debate on the difference between a prostitute and an escort. To be honest I really don’t care. All I was just pointing out was how ridiculous the author of this blog sounds when she speaks about "accompanying an overworked banker or lawyer to an office party, as the perfect trophy date". It’s fiction and amateurish.
From someone who works in this industry as a "NYbanker" I can tell you that this sounds questionable and absurd. No banker in his right mind would bring a “prostitute”, sorry “escort” (not up with the correct vernacular) to a firm function or office party. It’s just outright silly.
We work very long hours together. We basically know for better or worse what is going on in each others lives. Girlfriends, who we are fucking, who we are not fucking. Bringing a rent-a-date to a firm function is just unfathomable and professional suicide.
Again, the risk of embarrassment and a tarnished reputation as a loser would stop anyone from considering, at least amongst my colleagues and others I know in the industry bringing a paid date to a firm function.
I think the author is simply lying or stretching the truth when mentioning this. Not sure what her motives are but I think she is probably underestimating the intelligence of her readers. I for one hope they are not that naive.

about me
So why am I writing this blog? I have an inner exhibitionist that just needs to be let out. I've always wanted to bare myself completely in front of strangers but have always been held back by fear.
As strange as it may sound, I've never really truly bared myself in front of any of my clients. For all that they've seen, they've never seen me be me. And for all that I've seen, I simply need to share it with you!
So why should you come? To be tantalized and teased. To get release by knowing the true me.
I promise that I won't bite, and if I do bite, I'll make sure you like it!
