A New York Escorts Confessions

Oscar Madness

The Oscars are my Super Bowl. I turned down a client engagement tonight so that I could attend an Oscar party at my girlfriend’s apartment. I don’t know what I like better — finding out who wins the awards or looking at all the gorgeous dresses. Of course, seeing and cackling at fashion disasters is a lot of fun too. :)

While “Million Dollar Baby” largely deserved to score a knockout, my only gripe is that Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman played such standard roles for them — a crotchety and silent old man with a dark secret a la “Unforgiven” and an uneducated yet wise black philosopher a la “Shawshank Redemption”.

Speaking of crotchety old men… Sean Penn needs to simmer down. Jude Law may be hot, but he’s not one of the greatest actors. :P

Finally, I’m glad that Cate Blanchett finally won her Oscar. She’s so beautiful! I’m still bitter about the year when Gwyneth robbed her. How could the Academy have possibly thought that Gwyneth in “Shakespeare In Love” was better than Cate in “Elizabeth”?!

Comments

I thought Clint Eastwood did an amazing job. I mean, he's crotchety at first yes, but near the end he opens up in a way that I didn't think he could. ANd well. But I think Jamie Foxx definitely deserved the award for Ray, although I think his chances of losing with Ray's death and all were pretty much slim to none.

I only watch the preshows to see what everyone is wearing. That's the best part. :) Sadly, no one really blew me away this year. I think everyone was playing it safe. On another note entirely, Renee Zellweger (sp?) looks a hot mess. Her gown looked really uncomfortable, forced and out of place on her body. I don’t get why people think she’s pretty. Her face always looks all scrunched up, like she’s purposely making faces.

Dante, unless you think Ray Charles' spirit took over Jamie Foxx for the filming of Ray, Charles' death has nothing to do with Foxx's winning. Foxx turned out an amazing performance, better than the movie mind you, and deserved to have his work recognized.

I watched because I wanted to see how Chris Rock would fair. At best I can say is that Chris Rock did an adequate job. He didn't bomb or suck. Otherwise it was a rather bland and uneventful performance by him in an otherwise unmemorable show. By this time next year, the only thing people will remember is Hillary Swank for her backless dress and for needing to be dragged off the stage as she rambled on during her acceptance speech.

Luckily the power went out at my house due to a severe storm last night and I was spared the compulsion of watching. I can't understand why I watch it every year.

Oh yeah, the jokes and the women in low cut dresses that why.

Would you buy Clint as flowery and talkative? The man is the living definition of grizzled.

Posted by gian on Feb 28 01:37PM

yeah the oscars are great just whish they could shorten the speeches.i'm glad to see morgan freeman won,and what can i say about jamie foxx he was great in ray.

Posted by tom on Feb 28 01:43PM

Totally agreed on the Sean Penn front. He's a fabulous actor but clearly way too sensitive.

Clint did an amazing job for an actor as old as he is. The directing and the acting in Million Dollar Baby was phenomenal. Hotel Rwanda was sold a little short with no wins, but somebody has to loose. Still a great movie though.

I could not agree with you more. I have been saying for YEARS that Cate should have won instead of Gwyneth - I'm still mad about it!

And I think most actors (my least favorite, Renee Zellweger, included) don't act, but simply always play the same parts, which are often just embodiments of themselves. Bluezzzgirl - she looks like she's always sucking on a lemon! She needs to disappear from Hollywood.

bluezzzgirl, I'm not saying Jamie Foxx didn't deserve the award. He did a fucking incredible job as Ray Charles. I'm just saying that the politics of death assured it. They always do.

I thought Salma looked fantastic.

Robin Williams was the only person in the place with a pulse. And though I normal eschew violence, am I alone in thinking that the world would be a better place if Star Jones were pushed into a pit of magma?

Remember Me?

about me

I'm a twenty-something New York escort. I love Prada, Seven jeans, and Jimmy Choos. I'm also totally addicted to Starbucks' grande non-fat white mocha and working out.

So why am I writing this blog? I have an inner exhibitionist that just needs to be let out. I've always wanted to bare myself completely in front of strangers but have always been held back by fear.

As strange as it may sound, I've never really truly bared myself in front of any of my clients. For all that they've seen, they've never seen me be me. And for all that I've seen, I simply need to share it with you!

So why should you come? To be tantalized and teased. To get release by knowing the true me.

I promise that I won't bite, and if I do bite, I'll make sure you like it!
