A New York Escorts Confessions

Mea Culpa (Part II)

I never really intended to censor myself. In fact, my post itself wasn’t that hateful — it was the article I cited. Nevertheless, I pulled my post to do my little part in slowing the flow of hate through the veins of the American body politic.

That said, the article is really funny.

On another note, this whole blog thing has been an eye-opening experience for me. When I began, I didn’t think that I’d sit here writing about politics or about all the other varied topics on my blog. Nor, in my wildest dreams, did I think that other people would actually care about anything other than sex.

I hope you guys don’t mind that I haven’t written too much about sex these days. Sometimes, I wonder if I’ve lost readers because I haven’t posted much about sex recently. But I don’t wonder too much because I’ve truly enjoyed exploring my inner self through my writing.

Don’t worry. I’m still a naughty girl and will start posting more about “those” experiences.

So… Here is my original post. If you can’t handle it, tough cookies.

Fuck the South. Fuck ‘em. We should have let them go when they wanted to leave. But no, we had to kill half a million people so they’d stay part of our special Union. Fighting for the right to keep slaves — yeah, those are states we want to keep.

I know. I know. I promised not to talk politics anymore… But I just couldn’t help sharing this article on fuckthesouth.com — it’s educational. I promise. (This time, you can trust me!)

Here are some suprising tidbits and factoids from the article:

  • Many of the founding fathers, such as Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, weren’t Christian
  • 9 out of the top 10 states with the lowest divorce rates are Blue states, including Massachussetts where all those god-damn gays are ruining the institution of marriage
  • 10 out of the top 10 states with the highest divorce rates are Red states
  • The 2nd Amendment grants the right to bear arms so that people can form militias to secure a free State — not so that they can go out and shoot Bambi’s mom with an Uzi

OK. So that last factoid isn’t a surprise. In fact, it’s just a paraphrase of the 2nd Amendment. But I just had to throw it in there for all you red staters who played hooky and ditched your civics class like our esteemed President. :)

Comments

Sad part is a lot of people will look at that article, and take it as the word of god, without doing their own research... and yes, that happens w/ articles about liberals as well.

It almost seems that since the advent of tv news (always biased) and the internet (never 100% on target), people have forgotten how to think for themselves...

Posted by DC Guy on Nov 12 07:47AM

This is your space! Please don't feel like you can't discuss whatever you want. I have no problem with people discussing politics, I just ask that people be respectful about it. Anyway, wanted to know what you thought about this?

It is computed by taking each state's average income and average charitable contribution, then subtracting the second rank from the first to get a single number for each state.

I'm glad we got through. All it took was 22 comments!!!

And hey, that article was frickin' great. There is also another interesting IQ comparison where all blue states have highest IQ and the red states are all at the bottom. I won't post because I'm sure you've seen it before

Posted by Zisk on Nov 12 08:10AM

I am as Red as a Red Stater gets. I live in Georgia and I am from Louisiana.

And yes, bu-bye.

Don't let the door hit you where the Good Lord split 'ya.

You invaded us and burnt down Atlanta and several other cities. You came down and killed our sons, fathers and brothers because we did not agree with you.

Again, because we do not agree with you, all you have is anger and hate. We have done nothing to you but vote. You have done nothing but name call.

In your political brilliance, you have not provided anything concrete to give us a better direction. You just tell us everything we do is wrong and that you can do it better. Don't you hate it when someone always trys to tell you, Alex, what you do is wrong but never provide a better job with the same pay and benefits?

The Democrats had real power under the Clinton years and lost it because they had nothing but corruption and got NOTHING done, ever. You don't remember the early 90's politically but I do. Clinton had the White House and the Democrats owned the Congress. It was sooooo bad that Americans voted in a Republican majority in the House in Clinton's first two years.

The only reason Clinton had balanced budgets is because Newt Gingrich ran the House and would not send an unbalanced budget for Clinton to sign!! That is one of the times the Government was shut down and Clinton was playing with Lewinsky! Newt and Clinton were deadlocked Clinton wanted to spend more and Newt wouldn't let him. Now Clinton brags about balanced budgets during his administration....

I absolutly love you and read you all the time. Like you, I get tired of people telling me how I can run my business better, but when we go into ALL the facts and pesky details....they tell me that I am doing the best that I can and that they really couldn't do it any better.

Governing is hard work, Alex. It is not as easy as John Kerry made it sound. If he had such great plans to make the difference that he promised, as a Legislator he could introduce a series of ground breaking laws that the country would flock to and cheer him into the White House in 4 years.

In reality, Kerry knows that our governement is doing the absolute best that it can with all of the resources it has available. He doesn't have a better plan. He couldn't make the difference that you felt he could. He was just selling you and playing on your emotions of 'Anybody but Bush.'

I know you feel like Fuck The South! But you must understand that we have said Fuck You Yankee Fucking North for years longer.

So I am glad that you feel the pain and hope that you take a long look at the messes that you have in East Coast and West Coast with Gang Bangers, unemployment and crappy schools in the overcrowded nasty cities. We in the South will enjoy our simple ways and basic love of life.

Give my Regards to the Queen while you are in Canada!

Again, bu-bye!

Posted by Charles on Nov 12 08:30AM

Bye, Charles.

See, that's the thing - you don't get that it's okay for anyone to disagree with your viewpoint. And you twist the "facts" to reinforce your message.

So you don't like the posting. Fine. Don't read it. Don't come back here again.

End of rant.

P.s. If you don't like "fuck the south" then you'll truly hate Sorry Everybody.

Posted by Spa Girl on Nov 12 08:52AM

ummm, Charles? Canada doesn't HAVE a queen.
It's a democracy just like we used to be.

Good Morning Alexa:
It is terrific to see comments on the world around us. Your comments are just as valid as anyone's. We ( Mrs. & I) enjoy reading them and talking about them. You do present another point of view.
R & aj

Posted by aj widget on Nov 12 08:58AM

The Queen? Nobody talks to her up here. We just have her on some of our money for old times' sake.

I'll never understand why people leave nasty comments like the one from Charles if they don't intend to come back (I've had my share too). Do they think a blog like a restaurant and someone will get fired for the lousy service if they complain loud enough? It's also very difficult to take to heart the words of someone who doesn't have the courage or conviction to come back and stand behind them. If you don't like what you see, move one.

Having said that, he does have a point. Anything called 'fuckthesouth.com' is pretty insulting and I don't need to read it. The higjhlights are all over the net anyways (and by the way, it is totally your right to post it too). Although I've been to the South so all this idealistic, utopian stuff about a simple and "basic love of life" ... not so much, really.

As a foreigner unofficially observing your country throughout this entire election period, I have to tell you Americans something. You have an amazing country. Fix it. It's broken. Stop yelling at each other and heal yourselves already.

Posted by Surly on Nov 12 08:59AM

First, let me inform you that I read your blog because it is interesting, well written, and honest. The sex stuff is just icing on the cake, just like JustOneBite. If the blog was all sex exploits then it might get boring in a hurry. Keep doing what you are doing. You are doing well.

About censoring yourself, like I said before, it is your blog, you write or don't write whatever you want.

Now about that article, it is full of inacuratcies and generalizations that I will go into on my blog (shameless self-promotion time) at www.yogblog.com.

Keep up the good work Alexa. And you are welcome to lick my blog anytime. Ohh, I'ma naughty, naughty boy. Next I will ransome the world for ONE MILL-ION DOLLARS. :)

Posted by Dawn (webmiztris) on Nov 12 10:05AM

I must say that fuckthesouth.com is by no means a step in the right direction, simply because it seeks to divide, not unite. The disconnect in this country is not that people value different things, it's that they've been duped by this administration into thinking that a Republican ticket is the only solution. It's truly a tactic of fascists, and people in the working class should be ashamed for not recognizing it for what it was.

That said, instead of "fucking" eachother, we should be educating one another on what we believe our differences to be. If that kind of dialouge could occur, I think we'd find that both camps want the same things. However, if we can't remain secular in our discussion, I don't see any possible way to have such a discussion.

Having moral values doesn't have anything to do with the combination of church and state. To imply that people who don't believe in your god are immoral is asinine, and those who do so should take a look in the mirror and realize they're in the process of being had. Karl Rove knew damn well he could lasso voters based on 'moral issues' if he made an irrelevant and ill-timed moral debate into a voting issue. He did, and a lot of those voters are too proud to admit they were his pawns.

The greater issues at hand were left in the wayside, and I believe the world is worse off because of it. However, the "moral" voters need to realize that "the left" is not trying to deny their religious rights or in any way disrespect their religious views. We just know, like our founding fathers did, that religion does not belong in politics. The combination of the two is a vital ingredient in fascism, and it's knowingly used as a tactic to motivate people into giving blind, unwavering support to their leaders. Our current situation is no different, it's just deployed under the guise of democracy.

Oh, I am still here, Gang.

Y'all are the ones leaving. We own the country remember? We are going to leagalize rape, according to Cameren Diaz and we are evil...so why should I go anywere???

You hate this country, not me.

Alex posted Fuck The South, not me.

I love the South...rednecks, blacks, gays and all! And I am not going to allow Alex to post something so rough and not respond to it. That is what she asked for and she has gotten it.

I am sorry that I do not agree with her and her opinion of us. I am allowed to respond and I welcomed to respond without having to agree, I think?

I live in wonderful part of the country with kind and gentle people that truly care about their neighbors and friends.

How can I read "The next dickwad who says, "It’s your money, not the government's money" is gonna get their ass kicked. Nine of the ten states that get the most federal fucking dollars and pay the least... can you guess? Go on, guess. That’s right, motherfucker, they're red states. And eight of the ten states that receive the least and pay the most? It’s too easy, asshole, they’re blue states. It’s not your money, assholes, it’s fucking our money."

And not get offended.

Whosyer and Spa Girl, I have to defend my country and my Southland whe under attack. You where wrong about the Queen of England and you where wrong about G. Bush. Get educated and then get motivated.

Don't assume because you have an opinion and feel strongly about it that it is the right opinion. Do your research, get some government time under your belt and then come tell me how wrong I am.

Until then you are a political virgin and somewhat amusing.

Fuck You, You Yankee Bastards!~

The South Has Risen Again!!!!!

Bwhahahahahaha

Oh, Yeah.

BTW, "If you can't handle it, tough cookies."

Posted by Charles on Nov 12 11:26AM

Being a proud Southerner...I totally agree with the article. I love living in Kentucky, I love my home. Granted that I didn't grow up in the hills. I am from the suburbs of Louisville (you know the big city where the derby is). Eventhough I'm sort of from the city, I grew up around enough of the old time farmers that I know I think or two about how these people think. I must also mention that I was raised Southern Baptist, but I have convinced most of my family that it is BAD!!!!!!!!!

Now I can say that I'm tired of all the hypocritical-hoilier-than-thou-muther-fuckers that go to church on Sunday sit in the pew and say Amen, and then get outside and start talking shit about everyone in church. Doesn't the Bible say "thou shalt not judge." WHO MADE YOU GOD?!?!?!?

My being a lesbian the marriage thing is a big deal to me, and I it does not make sense to me that this group of hypocrits can tell me that the woman I love and I cannot have the same legal benefits as two heterosexual people who barely know each other but said "I do" thirty minutes ago. Marriage is a relious institution, there is nothing in the constitution that says that a man and a woman can marry, there are just tons of laws giving them benefits to be married. So how is it that these right wing conservative fucks can take over our country and tell me that because of their stoopid ass beliefs I can't have the same rights as two straight people who decide to marry even though they are probably just going to get divorced in a year. Trust me most of my straight friends are in the process of getting divorced because someone fucked/wants to fuck/thought about fucking/might have fucked someone else.

I'll end my rant there for now.

Unfortunately for all the righteous lemmings that bought the "moral" label Mr. Rowe bestowed on the current administration, this cartoon by Don Wright for the November 11th editions might illustrate how vacuous their vote was. Does GW’s morality require you to agree with something that has been totally against you or your family's interest?

Posted by whosyerkitty on Nov 12 12:23PM

I read your blog all the time. I am surprised after reading that website that you endorse it.

It is very full of generalizations and "we're better than you are" lists.

Being from the South - Texas - all my life it makes me laugh to read it.

No I won't quit reading your site - it's awesome - and I don't think you should censor yourself at all.

The diversity of the comments left here on your site are greatness. This, after all, is still a free country where we are all entitled to our opinions.

Our country has some problems true. But what needs to be done is sit down and rationally go over them, label each, then find a solution.

I think we really need to put the morality stuff on the back burner and get the books & laws all set first. Again my opinion, we need to fix ourselves internally before we try to help everyone else in the world.

I still believe the United States is the greatest country in the world (let's keep it that way).

Posted by Shumpy on Nov 12 12:37PM

Cute cartoon, but it misses the point. Bush voters believe leaders should help us do those things that are good for us, even if those actions are unpleasant in the short-term.

Europe and the left screamed bloody murder in 1986 when Reagan bombed Libya in retaliation for the bombing of Pan Am 103, but today Libya has renounced terrorism and is becoming a member of the international community.

Similarly, Reagan and Thatcher were both denounced by the left for privatizing and deregulating various industries. But those actions led to the economic boom of the 90s, including Britain's economic comeback.

Europe and the left screamed bloody murder in 1981 when Israel bombed Iraq's nuclear facility. Today, most experts believe that their actions were vital in making sure Iraq did not develop nuclear weapons.

No one believes that war, job loss, and reduction of government benefits are wonderful things. They are personally painful and devastating to communities. But we realize that creating stable democracies in the Middle East is critical for the long-term well-being of the region *and* to help ameliorate the injustices that fuel terrorist activities. We realize that denying protection to obsolete industries will ultimately make us more productive and prosperous.

In addition to being an amoral sleaze personally, former President Clinton always avoided showing leadership when it came to doing hard, unpleasant things. He wanted to be liked by everyone, and even his worst enemies found him charming and amiable. Popularity is not the same as leadership, especially when times get rough.

Why am I convinced that this Wore on Terra is going to be about as effective as the War on Drugs?

Posted by Amy on Nov 12 12:57PM

Well, you talk about the 2nd amendment, but be very careful, it claims for the security of a free state, and it talks about the states militia.

Well, in Kentucky the militia is defined in the State Constitution:
"The militia of the Commonwealth of Kentucky shall consist of all able-bodied male residents of the State between the ages of eighteen and forty-five years, except such persons as may be exempted by the laws of the State or of the United States."

Also, the 2nd amendment is written in a way that is very hard to read today. It is my personal beilief that the framers intended that states could have their own militias, and that individuals could own arms.

Posted by nick on Nov 12 01:10PM

A lot of buttons got pushed this last election, and not just in the voting booths. I agree that G. W. Bush is not the best choice for president, but I will stand by my beliefs that the Democratic Party failed its constituents by endorsing John Kerry, a man who spit on the graves of everyone who died in Vietnam by his disrespect for the medals he was awarded, for the office. When there is a choice between two evils what are we supposed to do? Vote Libertarian, that's what.

The Libertarian Party believes that "that government is best that governs least". No more hiding behind the rhetoric of the two major parties. Libertarian's believe that everyone is responsible for their own actions, and that the duties of the government should not intrude into the pocketbooks, places of worship, or the bedrooms of the citizens.

And before anyone slams me for what I believe in, let me just reiterate this: These are MY beliefs and I am not forcing them on anyone. Do your own research. Compare Republicans to Democrats to Libertarians. See for yourselves. Think for yourselves. Remember, political dogma can be just as emotionally charged as religious dogma. Check out http://libertarianparty.org/

I live in a red state. My county voted blue. I can't vote Green, I would not vote red, nor would I vote for blue. I was one of less than 2000 who voted Libertarian. Did I throw my vote away? No, I did not. Change doesn't happen overnight, but in order to effect change one has to apply a gradual force over time. I will keep trying IN MY OWN WAY to make a change for the better.

Posted by Rigel on Nov 12 03:08PM

Well, I don't mind a change from the sex once in a while, but I must admit I'm getting weary of the political infighting between all you Americans at the moment, not just here either. Let's get back to some nice stuff.

Oh and BTW Surly, she's the Queen of Britain, not just Enlgand. I live in Scotland and she is MY Queen too - there's some British infighting to even things up :)

holy mother of GOD ... i could care less about the opinionated shite people are blowing out of their asses, but PLEASE - for the love of CHRIST - use a SPELL-CHECKER. or something. i understand that a spell-checker isn't going to catch charles' problems with you're/your or anything, but i believe it could whittle down the egregious spelling errors. hold me.

alexa, i personally blog because it's CATHARTIC. i don't blog for an audience. sure, i like getting comments from time to time; however, my blog keeps me sane. in my world, sanity is hard to come by. when i can find it, i grab it and hold on SCREAMING.

don't stop because you don't think you're posting what people want to read. i blogged about my political leanings once and got a comment that a reader was 'turned off' (HIS words, not mine). my response was a big ol' "eat my butt, you smacked ass." there will always be people who read whatever you post. your readership will change and evolve. keep doing what you're doing ... we will be here.

Posted by laura on Nov 12 04:21PM

WOW!

First of all write what you feel like writing Alexa. People may be drawn in by some of the juicy stories, but they like reading about what you do outside of that. Don't ever change for the rest of us. That would be boring.

Second, being a southerner myself from Louisville KY, I think it is ignorant to say "Fuck the South". I believe branding an entire city, state, region, country, or people is wrong. Just like not everyone from a "Northern" city is a stock broker, not everyone from the South is a bible thumping, shoeless, redneck.

Extremists, zealots, or whatever you want to call them, live everywhere in this country and sit on both sides of the fence. To me, people that don't learn to understand different people's point of view, are pretty sad. I don't always agree with what people say and sometimes it makes me upset that people are narrow minded, but I still don't blanket everyone that associates with them as being that way.

Third and final, let's get the Civil War straight shall we. The Civil War was about State's rights not slavery. Lincoln, knowing that Great Britian was a proponent of states rights, but against slavery, used the slavery card so that England would not enter the war with the South. The South had the tacticians, the people, but did not have the machinery and factories of the North. Let's all also understand that war is hell and that there is plenty of things that both sides did that are not to be proud of.

We all have different points of view, but I would gather more of us are middle of the row and have more in common than we think. That is why this country is great.

Yall have a good weekend.

Posted by Pete on Nov 12 04:54PM

Oh, yeah.

Sorry about the spelling problems!!

I am not going to stop reading Alexa, and I do not mind the different point of view.

I do take offense at a hard fuck on the South. We are good people that work hard, play hard and have great sex. We have New Orleans, Atlanta and Miami. All great party places.

Our governing is good down here. Our politics fierce and education system is sound. The only time I see someone think we are hicks is because the are snobs, so it evens out.

Now, come down here to Atlanta and tell me to me face how you feel about the South and I will let your face know how I feel about you. Kind of a Ying/Yang thing....nice comments get nice results and bad comments gets you some action.

The Queen is waiting, Lefties. And we all know how Queen Elizabeth hates to wait.

BTW. Did y'all see the Canadian flag waving at Arafat's funeral?? That was perfect!! Arafat was a murder, ask Guliani; he investigated Arafat when he was a US attorney.

Again, sorry about the spelling.

I object to the article because it lumps all southerners into one big generalization.
I am from the south and like I said before, neither I , nor any of my friends are anything like that article states.
But, the good thing about the good old USA is that whoever wrote that article had the RIGHT to write it, and I on the other hand have the RIGHT to disagree with it.

And yes, all sex all the time would be boring!
And please excuse all grammatical errors :-)

Charles, you fucking moron, an opinion DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CORRECT. That, in fact, is the definition of an OPINION. YOU CHOOSE YOUR OWN.

Learn the correct usage of the English language, then come back here and post your ass off. Just as well anyway, the IQ definitely does not match up to us.

P.S. My regards to Florida, dickwad.

P.S.S. I would come and tell you to your face, but I'd smooth you over like a a bulldozer and I really have no intention of killing innocent villagers like your leader does.

1) Everyone has an opinion.
2) No matter what you say, they're not going to change theirs.
3) If you don't agree with their opinion, and post on their blog, you end up looking like an asshat.
4) Get your own blog and blog your own opinions. Then you can gleefully ignore the people who come and disagree with you. Or flame them to your hearts content.
5)None of this matters a fart in a windstorm now that the election is over.

So, remember bitches! Suck it up, deal with it, and realize that in 4 more years, you'll be just as fucking pissed off about the next bunch of non-centrist political nazi assclowns that you voted for loosing the election as you were this time around....whether your candidate lost or won.

Zisk,

An educated opinion is worth a lot more than an uneducated opinion. If you have an opinion that fire is not hot, then test that opinion with your hand, the education will change your opinion.

Oh, and Swifty, just because you have an opinion that fire is not hot, does not make your opinion right.

My IQ, Zisk, is built on years of personal experience working in Louisiana and Washington politics, so I believe I am far smarter about these topics than you are. I own a growing IT business, so again, I think I am smarter than you. Finally, I am running this comment through a spell checker and that ought to make you happy.

And Dickwad, I think Florida has sent it's regards to the rest of the country. Bush won there, again.

Zisk, Saddam was killing the innocents, but you don't care. You probably touch yourself with the pictures of the dead babies and families in Time magazine showing the gassed Curds that Saddam killed. You probably touch your asshole just thinking how fun the Saddam rape rooms where. And then you get mad because the Bush White House is arresting these terrorists that you so admire.

I bet you sit there and wait for Islam to kill more of us Americans. You know us Americans are evil and vile, don't you? We are the enemy, aren't we Zisk? Islam is doing the right thing by killing people for the last 30 years, aren’t they Zisk? For what Zisk? They are killing us for what, Zisk? Because we are not Islamic. Is that a reason to kill you and me Zisk?

I will be in Georgia waiting for you Zisk, honey. I will hold you as the evil Bush continues bring that dreaded freedom to the Middle East. I will even touch you in your private parts so you don't get upset as our US Marines, Army, Air Force and Navy continue to do the great job that they do for everyone around the world. Let Freedom Reign!

We are not evil, Zisk; you are just a naive moron. Grow-up, Zisk, you sweetheart.

And, sorry, Alex for having a war thread on your blog. That is the passion of politics.

How about a nice can of Shut the Fuck Up?

And please, don't tell everyone you live in Georgia. It embarrasses the rest of us Georgians.

Wait? What happened to the sex stories? The one's about the crazy Japanese businessmen wearing diapers and asking to be flogged? Jeez....

FoxProse, be careful when using Libya as an example of the reform of a former 'rogue' that has come in from the cold...Khadaffi is still a dictator, albeit with a good PR campaign. As he gets older, it is becoming apparent his son is going to succeed him, and there are doubts in the diplomatic community of how benevolent he plans on being. Besides, export sanctions have a way of getting a country to soften up, but it doesn't help change the mindset...quite the opposite, it tends to cement them. This is something the US needs to consider, with Iraq as another example. Starving a country for years and then expecting them to rejoice when you occupy them isn't an easy path to victory. It's the highest level of fantasy.

Chuck,

I fully respect your right to post your opinion to your hearts content, but Kurds is spelt with a 'K'. Equating them with cheese spelling it with a 'C' diminishes the effect how much you care about them being gassed (which was done with US blessing I might ad).

CharlieBob,

Hard headed dipshits like yourself, I wish you would take your underacomplished ass and bring your online homosexual insults back to the dump from where they came. I hope it makes you feel better, sitting at work, typing your clever prose about me masturbating and all the other ridiculous bullshit you wrote up. Hope your family knows what kind of scumbag you really are.

And for the record, if I'd meet you, you wouldnt get a chance to touch me, pedophile.

Posted by Zisk on Nov 13 05:01PM

Good God. This is a lively bunch. Alexa, maybe you should start charging for people to come here and work out their deep-seated anger and frustrations through blog comments.

A couple of things bug me about this thread, however:

1. "fuckthesouth.com" is, obviously, a joke. I'm from Oklahoma--not technically the South, but one of the reddest of red states--and found the site pretty funny. It was an exhortation of rage from one pissed-off anti-Bush individual, and hardly deserves the kind of offense some people in these parts are taking from it. Getting honestly angry at a sarcastic rant like this is a little silly, isn't it?

2. Swift's comments are quite troubling: "None of this matters a fart in a windstorm now that the election is over...Whoever wins the presidency, we /all/ lose."

That's really disappointing. It matters quite a lot, actually. Participation in a democracy doesn't start and end with a Presidential election. And the attitude that it doesn't matter who's elected, they're all corrupt jerks, is what ensures we keep getting stuck with corrupt jerks.

Don't give in to apathy and self-enforced ignorance. Pay attention, and involve yourself in your local, state, and federal government. It does matter.

Posted by scotty on Nov 13 06:09PM

Scotty -

At this point, they are all corrupt jerks. That's part of being a politician. You show me an honest politician and I'll show you someone with a dead political career.

Anyways, it's all moot now. Unless Bush commits a crime, he's in office for 4 more years. Same thing if Kerry'd one. The politicking is over, now it's back to BAU. This isn't defeatist, nor should it be dissappointing. The voice of the idiot public has spoken it's choice between dumb and dumber and I'll let you sort out which it picked.

The only council I offer in this parade of madness is: Repeal the 12th amendment, give the parties a reason to worry and they'll remove themselves from such extremist ways and produce 4 candidates that are closer to centrist than any candidates we have in this day and age. Something that the country needs. As a friend of mine says in her lj:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/mcd000/2004/11/09/

Check it out and see what you think. You're right, we have the means to change the way things are done...now we just need the balls to use those means.

Fuck The South would be funny if it were not taken so seriously by so many people. Some irate person spouts off about their hate, their misplaced anger, and their massaged facts and everyone takes off from there. Has anyone actually looked at the data these sites used? They were liberal sites, but I don’t want to pick on liberals, but as an example let’s use the divorce rate. The article they linked to pointed out that “per capita” the divorce rate was higher in the Republican voting States. But go to the Census Bureau site and read for yourself about the data. It can be broken down other ways. The liberal voting States have the lowest now married rate and the highest never married rate. They also have some of the highest rates of same sex unmarried living together households and the highest percentage of opposite sex unmarried households. Does that tell us that they are destroying the institution or marriage? Maybe it tells us that they are living in sin? Or maybe it tells us that they are full of gays who can’t get married. Really the data does not tell us any of that. Go beyond one piece of data and you will find that younger couples in the prime marriage ages (according to the Census) are moving to other areas they consider being better for their careers and families. It is not really a liberal, conservative, democrat, or republican reason, just life and the need for jobs and reasonable housing.

As far as more federal dollars going to bail our Florida, they actually receive $1 for every $1 they put into the pot. Other states like Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia receive higher Federal spending because of the large number of Federal workers and contractors. Some states have larger military installations, higher Medicaid and Medicare costs, and more retirees who receive Social Security. Once again someone will choose to retire to the South or Mid-West rather than a high cost of living area, hence the higher Federal funding. Wake up and understand how Democracy works. Write your Congressman or Senator to change things important to you. Don’t just bitch and believe the liberal or conservative websites just because they have important names.

America is great, I have been all over and have enjoyed the sites, the people, and the knowledge that this was my home. Try moving outside you neighborhood and world of hate and see what you are missing.

Posted by JamDaddy on Nov 14 04:05AM

Yeah, Charles, because anyone that disagrees with you MUST get off on looking at pictures of dead babies. Idiot.
Oh, and our education system SUCKS. If you think otherwise, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. And no, that is not a matter of opinion, that's a matter of fact. The public school system all throughout the south is shit. I know better than you because I can tell you're a class A product of it, though. That's probably why me (being 15 and all) can own you in an argument. Maybe you should stop resorting to threateing to molest people as clever retorts. That might be a start.

Oh, PS - sorry guys. I can't vote yet :( and I don't dig the South much either. Smack after senior year it's northeast for moi.

Posted by Andrea on Nov 14 11:28AM

Nice...

A fifteen year old putting me in my place.

And Andrea, in yours and Zisks and Swifties world, fire isn't hot.

I understand your opinions but they are wrong.

Fire is hot, Terrorists are evil and our economy is back on track.

I am proud of you hard working Americans and I am still disgusted by you whiney Libs that complain about everything but don't know who to do anything about it.

You will give a man a fish every day but you do not have the knowledge or ability to teach him to fish so that he can take care of himself and his family.

You don't get it and you never will.

Keep on bitchen' in a free world, friends. You keep bitching and name calling, while we get the stuff done that needs to be taken care of. You and the John Kerry's of the world always have a plan but never a solution. You always have meetings but nerve a solution. You always have rallies and sit ins but you never have solutions.

That is why the Dems have been consistently fired by their constituents, not because they hate gays, but because the Dems are not getting the job done. Solutions where never coming out of Washington. The Dems spent this last Congress blocking anything the Administration brought to the table. That is why Tom Daschle got fired!

But continue to ignore the facts, and let you feelings rule the day.

Mine is opinion built on years of traveling, my father was a US Diplomat and my mother is full-blooded Basque. I have seen the fear that Basque terrorists have put in place in Spain, those terrorist rule by fear in Spain and we cannot let that happen here. I spent 10 years in Louisiana politics during the Reagan revolution and a year in DC working in Congress. I have, again, my own small business in IT. I do not hate gays and I do love my neighbor, regardless of race, color, creed or national origin.

This debate is not about me but the future of our country. Opinions like Swifty, that all politicians are corrupt is wrong. Opinions like Zisk’s and Andrea’s are dangerous because their uneducated in governing and they refuse to grow and learn. Opinions like Fuck The South are the worst. And that is why I have commented the way I have.

You can knock the South gang, but we are ready to knock back.

And it looks like the gang that feels that Fuck The South is cool are the ones that can't take it. They got mad at me! That was great! They couldn't just blow me off....and yet you are asking us just to blow off Fuck The South. And you can't just blow me off!

Quit being hypocrites!

Don't post something offensive and then get mad one someone is offended.

I did not get mad at Alexa for posting this but I did respond on Alexa's blog on the offensive material. And then y'all jumped on me.... Nice.

Then the fifteen year old tries to put me in my place.

The education system, Andrea, is all our problem. If it does suck, then we should fix it. Not just sit and name call it, but that is all you Libs do isn't it. Sit, name call and then do nothing about the problem but sit and watch it get worse. Bitch about the conservative, sit, name call and watch it get worse...nice cycle.

Posted by Charles on Nov 14 12:22PM

Just thought I would remind you that we don't all have a gun in the glove box of our pick up trucks! Nor do we all hate homosexual people or Hispanic Americans. We didn't all vote for Bush.
I hate articles like the one that you commented on because all it does is perpetuate stereotypes...have you been to the South lately?

Also, we are all different...we think differently, we were raised differently and we live our lives differently. Just because someone chooses to live a different way then you do or think a different way then you do, doesn't mean that it is wrong. It is just different!

I would like to hope that you would promote tolerance and understanding instead of ignorance and stereotypes. This was a disappointing article to read from you. By posting an article like that you only show your limited ability to accept people that think or act differently then you. You also show that you are a hypocrite. Now I understand why you got negative feedback...

What the fuck? Where is the sex action? I read this blog, when I do, for ALL SEX all the time, the kinkier the better. Pineapple flavored cum, wherefore art thou?

Posted by joe on Nov 14 09:05PM

Lol.. i posted that 'fuck the south' article all over the place as well. it was obviously just a rant and never supposed to be taken seriously. it does however bring up tons of valid arguements.

sad nobody can take a joke anymore. when did the USA turn into the Christian Taliban?

Posted by vancouver20ishguy on Nov 15 03:26AM

charles,

"Not just sit and name call it, but that is all you Libs do isn't it. Sit, name call and then do nothing about the problem but sit and watch it get worse. Bitch about the conservative, sit, name call and watch it get worse...nice cycle."

what a truly enlightened, well-informed presentation of the liberal mindset from someone who clearly understands the issues from an elevated perspective, who objects to name-calling but doesn't seem to be above broad generalizations of his countrymen who just happen to be left of him.

so, i hear what you say about name-calling, charles, but when it talks like a fucking idiot and smells like a fucking idiot, well, then i guess it's a right-winger, eh? or should we just spare the entire right from this and put it on you?

i'm glad you think your man in the white house is getting shit taken care of. he's been doing a real great job of it, too. all made easier, of course, by the fact that the people behind him buy the sort of jingoistic drumbeat that all shitheads of your ilk like to jive about, hook, line and sinker.

the economy is on the right track? you're a comedian. looked at the budget deficit lately, or are you just spouting the gop party line? and please don't pull the unemployment figure out of your ass--unemployment doesn't take into account the underemployed, or the people unemployed long enough to no longer qualify for unemployment. that's what dipshits like you will never understand, admit, or even want to look at, because it just blows to shit your perfect conservative, religious utopian dream of an america back in the 50s for you. you can stop, though--the elections are over.

good luck with pushing the federal ban on gay marriages, by the way. i see your people are working hard to fix this place up good and proper.

oh fuck you, charles, you're the one with your broad stroked characterization of liberals as whiny know-it-alls who do nothing to fix problems. hey, last i saw, it was a fucking born again, evangelical dipshit sat on a chair for 7 minutes reading my pet goat when 3000 people died in a terrorist attack.

hypocrite? you don't have to read this blog to see one. the man in the mirror's a finer example.

i'm not surprised you got spanked by a 15yr old in a debate.

Posted by darling maggot on Nov 15 04:54AM

Hey Maggot,

That last quote was something from NC Lady.

So far all you did was name call and say how Bush sat reading a book while we where getting attacked. I hope you enjoyed the Michael Moore mover, BTW.

None of you provided a better way of doing business.

Hey alexa
I used to visit post/blog everyday...loving reading the story about all your adventures ...it was really great...but alas, politics came around and i think you might have lost quite a few daily readers...with the focus now on politics and not on your great stories.

I unfortunately only come by now, about once a week....now feeling that politics is making up the major part of your site...it feels like it's now 99.999%...unfortunately now just skim, instead of reading in great detail.....

I guess it's like a cool new nightclub opening up, new decor, great drinks, beautiful people and then slowly becoming just "another" place to go to....please don't make your site, just another website.

Your blog was that cool new place...great writings...great stories...no fear...Please return to that cool place... Please dont be offended, I know it's your blog and you can talk about anything...its just that i miss the old place..reading about the great adventures.

Only one problem. I am from the south and I actually LOVE it down here. Heck, I even from the great State of Texas. Here me out first. I was one of the few that voted blue down here.(Even though I knew I wasn't doing any good.)
I am getting REALLY scraed now that his entire cabinet is leaving. That is the only thing I felt would make it bearable through this next four years. He is losing people left and right. They only thing I can say about this election is that now we know we only have four more years.

We aren't all crazy religous rednecks. I promise.

Posted by Patrick on Nov 15 10:17PM

charles, i stand corrected on the last quote.

but i did a little more than just name-call and point out an example of the ineptitude in the white house. however that's all you'll ever want to see, because the illusion of your utopian dream of a country on the right track with a sound economy must never be shaken. keep drinking the kool aid.

Posted by darling maggot on Nov 16 06:38AM

i'm not exactly from the south. i'm from appalachia, more specifically west virginia (the area no region quite wants to claim). but i will say that fuckthesouth.com is disgusting. it ignores the fact that, all along, there have been people who have resisted. it also ignores the terrible racism that exists in the north, but just happens to have a wealthier, more genteel face.

about me

I'm a twenty-something New York escort. I love Prada, Seven jeans, and Jimmy Choos. I'm also totally addicted to Starbucks' grande non-fat white mocha and working out.

So why am I writing this blog? I have an inner exhibitionist that just needs to be let out. I've always wanted to bare myself completely in front of strangers but have always been held back by fear.

As strange as it may sound, I've never really truly bared myself in front of any of my clients. For all that they've seen, they've never seen me be me. And for all that I've seen, I simply need to share it with you!

So why should you come? To be tantalized and teased. To get release by knowing the true me.

I promise that I won't bite, and if I do bite, I'll make sure you like it!
