Ah, too bad. I love sushi and I have been known to eat it four times a week. Get betta.
Posted by Matt on Oct 28 03:02AMSo you feel bad? You feel sick? You feel as if you've been scoured from the inside out by a gang of excitable sea urchins? Let it run its course. Pick yourself back up. Dust yourself off. And then eat more sushi!
Posted by Will on Oct 28 04:54AMno food poisoning is worse than a seafood poisoning. hydrate with plenty of water and electrolytes.
and, as we've seen from the indian curry experience, no gigs for a while either...
just kidding. cheer up and get better.
Posted by darling maggot on Oct 28 07:04AMdarling maggot is right. get some gatorade, drink plenty of it and barf a lot. trust me you want to do that. as much as possible, it'll leave your system sooner. feel better. and which sushi restaurant?
Posted by Zisk on Oct 28 08:10AMAh sushi... Delicious! I hope you are feeling better now.
Here in Toronto our Health Department has banned the sale of unfrozen sushi because of the very slight parasite risk. This means that all sushi in Toronto now must be thawed before being served. Guess what that does to the texture and flavour? :-(
Also reminds me of one of those lame car race movies from the 70's and 80's, either Gumball Rally or a very young Jackie Chan in 1981's "Cannonball Run".
Biker in bar: "Do you know where Susie is?"
Jackie: "I love sushi! I eat sushi every night! You should eat sushi too! Everyone should eat sushi!"
Biker (commencing brawl): "Stop talkin' 'bout my momma!"
How embarrassing is it to remember that!
Posted by Ben on Oct 28 08:35AMSushi is usually such a wonderful thing. I hope you didn't have the Fugu.
Posted by Halden on Oct 28 09:29AMThat, my dear, is why I am a vegetarian. We're much harder to kill. ;)
Posted by M on Oct 28 09:38AMwow ... we're in synch ... i just made my (probably) first-ever post about sushi. i FINALLY found a kind that i like ... the avocado roll.
i hope you get to feeling better soon, m'dear. hang in there. damn that sushi to hades.
Posted by laura on Oct 28 09:44AMBad luck, but be positive:what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I hate sushi. Tastes just like fish! Mmmm....I hope it's just the sushi...
Posted by Steve on Oct 28 10:20AMI thought you'd find this funny
Go to google, enter "weapons of mass destruction" and click on I'm feeling lucky instead of search - too funny.

Posted by Dale on Oct 28 05:26PMYou had food poisoning?! Ugh...I think I had alcohol poisoning today during my job interview. My stomach was growling and doing all this twists and turn, I couldnt even concentrate...ugh why of all days did I have to get a weird stomach virus?!
Posted by David on Oct 29 01:22AMI'm a sushi fan. But you have to be careful where you have sushi.. I have a few places I feel good about and I stick to those. There is one place I love - 2nd ave near 54th - i will look for the card and post the info. You can't go wrong there - the owner chef has been in the sushi world for 20 years and really has a reputation to uphold.
Posted by Gig on Oct 29 01:31AMI'm sad to see you're not feeling well as I was looking forward to your Apprentice comments. Anyway, feel better.
Posted by nobody on Oct 29 02:54AMThis is uncontestable proof of Alexa's popularity. Even a post saying she's got food poisoning gets 28 comments (at time of my writing). Wow.
Posted by Jay on Oct 29 07:07AMI haven't tried sushi but I got food poisoning from a Chinese takeaway a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know whether to hate them or thank them for the free colon cleansing.

about me
So why am I writing this blog? I have an inner exhibitionist that just needs to be let out. I've always wanted to bare myself completely in front of strangers but have always been held back by fear.
As strange as it may sound, I've never really truly bared myself in front of any of my clients. For all that they've seen, they've never seen me be me. And for all that I've seen, I simply need to share it with you!
So why should you come? To be tantalized and teased. To get release by knowing the true me.
I promise that I won't bite, and if I do bite, I'll make sure you like it!

I tried sushi. Can't say as I like it much. Aside from the fish taste thing, there are some interesting flavors.
