Ooooh, Flordia! I just went down myself last month. What airline? Song just added two extra inches to all the seat (which makes a *huge* diferance) and added the little video screens to the backs of the chairs.

"Cheapskate"! "Loser"! "Ditch him"! My God, people, he's not her date, he's her client. Yes, it's odd, but it's his perogative. I'm sure she's earning a good amount of money from this, so who cares if she's in coach or not?! I'm sure she'll make up for the (little bit of) discomfort on her return (coach isn't THAT bad) when she goes on a nice, luxurious spending spree.

Let me explain the coach thing to you. If he sits you in first class, beside him, and he sees someone he knows, then he has some explaining to do. So, if he sits you in first class, but not with him, then he thinks you will swap seats or hang around him( I know you wouldn't but in the mind of a man,we come up with some crazy ideas).
The only solution is that he lets the airlines handle the potentially embarrasing situation for him.
Whatever the situation is, its a good thing that he doesn't have you figured out as well as he would like, but remember, you are going to Florida to work. Honestly, how do you expect him to treat you. Like his wife? Like his girlfriend? or like a buisness associate? Truth is, I fly all my employees and consultants coach. Just remember, you are going there to work, and you will be treated as such, and everything will work out fine. good luck and have fun.
