I spent 8 years in Catholic school. In fact I would be willing to bet that there are a disproportionate number of women in the adult industry that all had similar upbringings.

that so many sex freaks i know (including myself) grew up with strict religious backgrounds is no coincidence. i think growing up being taught that a particular set of behaviours is sinful or bad, then trying it out and finding out that this "taboo" is actually pleasurable and in fact harmless, is very liberating. besides, dichotomies always make life and people interesting.

I'm curious, Alexa (and Nikki, and anybody else who would answer) - did developing into a 'sex freak' in your case involve abandoning your religious beliefs, or is it moe like a reconciliation between your existing beliefs and the idea that sex is healthy, fun, normal (and compelling)?

hey alexa, i've just read through your entire blog and find it some of the most interesting and at the same time upsetting things i've read in my entire life. I'm a student in downtown NYC, actually Stuyvesant if you've heard of it. I got the distinct impression that you're not one of those miserable hookers that I see in the 130's (or even the occasional 42nd street whore), because obviously, according to this blog, you deal with people who have money and (some) class. It's just such a strange thing to read about someone who lives their life on the brink and yet finds some sort of stability. I'd love to know more, and of one of the questions I have is whether you would prefer to be doing what you are right now, or would you rather have met a man who would support you financially and give you great sex. Im just curious whether it's the multitude of sexual partners or the fast cash, exactly what lets you go to sleep at night. I know it seems like I'm judging or degrading you, I'm not I just want to see a different view to this because I've been considering getting into the porn business. Having had sexual partners in the high teens and at my age my friends tell me that it would be a perfect match given my ease with obtaining it and sportfucking. Two Thaughts - 1.Its a wrong assumption to consider sex an unholey, and a sin, and bad. Ifs a natural instince, which i guess has its natural seedings at procreation. If a religion makes me view sex in bad light, then definately there is something wrong with with our understandings of the tenets.

2nd- You can be as religious and be do well the thing you are doing, be it sex. what really matters is the cause of your actions. It it aint not hurting no one, in any way, then I dont see why that something is wrong.
