I've written about confidence a number of times on my blog. Of the many things that make women attractive to the male species, confidence is near the top of the list in my book. I'm no "player" by any stretch of the imagination, but the women I still hold in high regard, years later, are the women who were bigger than the average. They were smart, confident, and sexy as hell.

Unlike the numerous, and forgettable, waifs that have flitted in and out of my life, the big girls never asked me, "do I look fat in this?" For that alone I love them.

Regardless of a woman's shape, confidence and a strong sense of self are the things that I tend to find the sexiest thing about the opposite sex.

Confidence is key, indeed, whatever your shape. I was once a BBW and was not funny or free in public because I was so darn self-conscious. When I lost weight I thought, great now I can live my life freely, but it didn't happen so easily. I was simply a much slimmer neurotic and self-conscious me! Planet.

the internet is a funny thing. it can allow us to create a completely false personna - as anyone who has entered the world of internet dating has learned. it can also allow us to be ourselves - to speak with a true voice without the fear of negative consequences.

i know i am not a huge man, but i am over weight. i have a hard time finding myself attractive at times but there are occasions where i KNOW i am good looking. I still get hit on by women, even thin good looking women. so i know i am still attracting attention.

but i can definitely say that the days when my confidence is low, i don't even get noticed. it's amazing what a strong sense of self awareness can do for your attractiveness.

So how does one get confidence? :) And forgive me, but 110 lbs sounds quite skinny!

I used to be fat. Hugely fat. I was about five foot five and two hundred ten pounds. And I was fifteen. Not good.

I've since lost around seventy five pounds and realized that confidence and self-esteem can change everything about you. Yeah, you might not be the best looking or the thinnest guy, but it's not helping anyone to pine away inside about how much you hate yourself.

As a larger than average woman I thought the same thing at first when I read your blog-- "we have so little in common". Isn't it funny to discover through our writings that we can connect on things other than the obvious =) Viva la internet.

More and more I find myself attracted to women with more meat on them. I'm not saying I don't find the skinny girls attractive, too, but there's something awesome about more cushion.

The one thing I've been most thankful about is the fact that learning self-confidence was never something I had to do. Instead, I know and love myself--curves, rolls, thunder thighs and all--because I know I'm so completely worthy of love and attention.

Better yet are there any of those clubs in Mississippi.

One of the best things I ever read about BBWs (and I am one) was in a journal that was online several years ago. The writer was observing a fairly attractive Rubenesque woman at an outdoor cafe. And he noted that most men miss the boat when it comes to BBWs because they automatically write them off their lists...he continues by saying...

What they don't realize is that women you have healthy appetites tend to have healthy appetites of ALL kinds, if you catch my drift.
